Who We Are

Kawartha Hooks & Needles Guild is a group of avid knitters who are passionate about expanding our skills and sharing our enthusiasm for fibre arts. We learn knitting and crochet skills from one another and through workshops and guest speakers. 

Our Mission

We create a community for knitters and crocheters that helps to:

• Improve the skills and the overall artistry of fibre arts

• Promote interest and knowledge of knitting and crochet related activities in Peterborough and the Kawarthas

• Support the community through various charities

What We Do

• We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month

• We host more formal style educational meetings with a guest speaker and more social Knit & Learn meetings on a rotating basis

• We share enthusiasm and knowledge of fiber arts freely

• We encourage each other by Show & Tell where we discuss our projects, challenges and successes alike

• We encourage participation in charity projects as a way to give back to the community

• We participate in activities that create publicity around fibre arts such as public knit-ins
